The project is a mobile application, which aims to help the elderly and visually impaired community by enabling them to identify objects and aid them in reading text. For object identification, it would either display the object name in text using bold typography or it would read it out loud depending on the users’ choice. Using OCR technology, the application can read text, both printed and handwritten. It will utilise Google APIs like Google Speech, Vision, and TalkBack.
